A fire loss is two jobs at once. Soot and odor on one side, and the thousands of gallons the fire service used on the other. Handled in the wrong order, smoke residue gets sealed into a damp wall.

Water removal first

The water used to put the fire out comes out first, and the building is dried and made safe before cleaning starts. Cleaning soot off wet drywall drives it deeper into the paper.

Soot and residue removal

Different fuels leave different residues. Protein smoke from a kitchen fire, synthetic soot from furnishings and dry char all need different methods and different chemistry.

Odor neutralization

Odor is treated by removing or properly cleaning what's holding it. Where a treatment beyond cleaning is needed, we tell you what it is and how it'll be carried out before it happens.

Cleaning the air conditioning system

Smoke travels through the duct system and settles. Cleaning the rooms and leaving the ducts is why houses still smell of smoke months later.

Contents triage

Sorted into salvageable, cleanable, and total loss, photographed and inventoried as we go so the contents claim is documented properly.

Board-up on request

If the structure is open we can secure it the same night so weather and access aren't adding to the loss.
